![]() If anyone in this support community knows whether QuickBooks 2016 either does now or will "soon" be compatible with OSX10.11.1 and/or knows a work-around to make QuickBooks 2012 work with OSX 10.11.1, I and a lot of other small business people will be grateful. Yet a few posts on this site and elsewhere on the web claim that QuickBooks 2016 is NOT compatible with El Capitan in any of its incarnations (however it does work on my MacBook Air with OSX 10.11 and did work on my iMac with OSX 10.11, until I upgraded to 10.11.1) and that Intuit isn't bothering to fix that problem. One would think that software with that name would work with the latest Mac OS. (Needless to say, I will not install OSX 10.11.1 on my MacBook Air until this problem is fixed.) Intuit has for sale QuickBooks for a Mac 2016. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?" Whether I click the Don't Reopen or the Reopen button, QuickBooks 2012 won't open. Unlike your experience, QuickBooks 2012 continued to work well (as far as I could tell) after I upgraded both machines to OSX 10.11.
